Instructors

Van is a 2nd degree black belt under Pedro Fernandes of Tu Kaha Jiu-Jitsu. She began her BJJ training in 2005 and received her black belt in 2016. She is the head instructor of VR Jiu-Jitsu.

Ryan is a black belt under Van Robertson. He began his BJJ training in 2013 and received his black belt in 2023. He currently teaches the kids and adults classes.

Serina is a black belt under Van Robertson. She began her BJJ training in 2009 and received her black belt in 2021. Serina currently runs Waiuku VR Jiu-Jitsu in Waiuku, Auckland. See Waiuku timetable.

Hamish is a BJJ black belt under Pina Simpson of Tsunami Southern Tribes. He began his BJJ training in 1997 and received his black belt in 2022. He teaches the adults nogi classes.

Tuyet ("Tee") is a brown belt under Van Robertson. She began her BJJ training in 2010 and currently teaches the kids classes.

Nick is a black belt under Van Robertson. He began his BJJ training in 2009 and received his black belt in 2022. He currently runs Waiuku VR Jiu-Jitsu in Waiuku, Auckland. See Waiuku timetable.
